Visa???

• I am from Australia. I need some info on visa's as i've never had one before. I plan going to Germany in about 3 months to stay with my girlfriend who is a perminent resident in Marburg. Im not sure how long I will stay but it may be longer than 3 months. Which visa do I need to get and how long will it be valid for? Also, can I get part-time work once I'm over there?

  there is no need in visa for up to 3 months, if u plan to stay longer the general rule as I know it-u need to apply for a 6 months visa from the German embassy in ur country (before u come to Germany). there are diffrent conditions for getting this visa but the main rule is that you need a REASON to get a visa for 6 months. if u sign for a german lang course u will get a 6 months visa..
  contack the German ambassy in ur country and ask them to send u some papers about getting a visa. good luck!
