Council tax in Austria

• Being a resident in Austria, do you pay a council tax or a property related annual tax according to the type of property you own?

• Grundsteuer

  Yes there is a tax called "Grundsteuer". But this kind of tax is quite low compared to other countries. The rateable value for the tax is still unchanged since 30 years. Austrias last financial minister Grasser wanted to raise the Grundsteuer, but he failed because Socialdemocrats and Freedom Party were against it.
