US to Denmark to Austria

Help! My partner and I are US citizens currently working in Denmark on a 3 year work permit. One of us has been offered a position in Austria but we aren't sure if the other will be able to get a residence permit without us being married. We have a child together. Can anyone help us with any idea of our chances on getting the residency permits?
