Your Email & Login

Why do you need to verify my Email address?

We verify Email addresses to make sure that someone can send you a message in reply to your post and to reduce fraudulent posts. We will never display your Email, give it to anyone or send you spam.

I cannot “Login”, why?

  • The password you entered may not be the password you supplied when you registered. Click here to reset your password.
  • If you have just registered, you may not have activated your account. We sent you an email to verify your Email address. You need to click on the link in the Email to activate your account (check your spam or junk folder if you did not receive this Email). In this case, you will see an error message with a link to resend the Email.

Acceptable posts and advertisement

Which posts are accepted on Just Landed?

We do our best to provide a useful user experience and for this reason we reserve the right to delete without notice or explanation any content or advertisement placed on any of our sites. We cannot enter into correspondence about deletion reasons. We are also not liable for damages of any sort arising from your use of the site, whether in posting an ad or responding to an ad.

I have a complaint, what now?

If you have a complaint about something on our site, use the report button on the page containing the information. This helps us identify content which may contravene our policies.

Which posts are not accepted?

We do not accept posts which:

  • are fraudulent or criminal in intent
  • are racist, sexist or discriminatory
  • contravene local laws for the country in which they have been posted
  • are pornographic
  • arrive through automated submissions – if you want to put up lots of ads see http://rss.justlanded.com on how to send them to us

Categories of promotion we do not accept as being useful to our users:

  • websites of a pornographic nature
  • all organizations, companies and jobs related to the adult entertainment industry
  • work at home jobs (e.g. home-based, data entry, email processing)
  • multi-level marketing (MLM) jobs, internet marketing / online business opportunities, and any job services or jobs that are not clearly defined, or that involve fees from candidates
  • spammy ads that are just promotion/advertising (ask us for rates if you want to advertise). Commercial use for ads is OK, but we use a relevance test if you post in lots of countries – put the ad where you are based and/or sell to.
  • ads for drugs (legal and illegal), firearms, fissile nuclear material, etc…

If you are still in doubt whether we will accept your post, just think whether it is relevant specifically to Just Landed users. If so, go post. If not, don’t be surprised if it disappears and if your account gets blocked.

Small Ads (Housing, Jobs & Classifieds)

How much does it cost to post a job, an estate or another small ad?

Our basic job, housing and classified ads are free, so we will not charge you for posting the ad. For a small fee, you can upgrade your ad to a premium ad. Otherwise, your ad will stay free of charge.

Why is my post not visible?

  • If you have set up a new account and posted an ad, we will have sent you an email to activate your account. You need to click on the link that email in order to make your post visible.
  • If your post has disappeared, it may have been deleted due to a violation of our terms of use. Please read our FAQ and repost within the guidelines. We do not enter into correspondence about deletions, as our efforts are concentrated on providing the best experience for the majority of our users.

How can I see my small ads?

If you log in, you can view all of your previously posted small ads by clicking on “My Account” on the top right.

How long are my ads visible?

Your ads are visible until you delete them.

How do I delete a post?

Follow the instructions in the Email we sent when you posted, or:

  1. Login
  2. Click on “My Account”
  3. Select the posts you want to delete
  4. Click on the “Delete” button.

How do make my post appear at the top of the list?

Follow the instructions in the Email we sent when you posted, or:

  1. Login
  2. Click on “My Account”
  3. Select the post you want to refresh
  4. Click on the “Refresh” button.

If you want to have a consistent top-position of your ad, you might want to upgrade it to a premium ad.

Directory

Why is my directory listing not visible?

All directory listings are reviewed by a moderator before they become visible. In your listings, you will see the current moderation state for your listings.

My listing has been rejected, why?

There are various reasons why your listing could get rejected by our moderators:

  1. Your services or offers should not be placed in our directory, but somewhere else
  2. Your listing doesn’t meet our quality criteria
  3. The content of your listing is not accepted at Just Landed
  4. Phone number, URL or Email address included in description - use specified fields instead.

Who qualifies for the Directory?

The Just Landed Directory is for registered companies and institutions only (businesses). The following are not accepted:

  • Private teachers, tutors and services
  • Vendors of tobacco, tobacco products or e-cigarettes
  • Promotions of single products or offers (as opposed to a whole company)
  • Job searches, Searches for business partners etc.
  • Requests for help, general questions

If you want to advertise one of the above, please post your listing in our classifieds.

What is the quality criteria for directory listings?

Before you submit a directory listing, you should make sure that your listing meets our quality criteria:

  • Make sure the description of your company is clear and concise.
  • Check your listing for spelling and grammar.
  • Do not CAPITALIZE the whole title or description of your listing.
  • Do not include in-text links that are purely designed search engine optimization (SEO).
