Call up the commission

• This might sound stupid, but I have a friend who made a call and eventually got an internship. She was interested in a particular activity (this also matched her education), so she called up the department and just explained. She convinced the person she got to talk to that she was serious, and this led to an internship. There are positions, so try and create some 'connections' even if you don't have them. This can work.
