• I agree with you! I went through so much trouble trying to plan my Jewish wedding, that I ended up just getting married in the US and registering the marriage with the Italian consulate. It seems Italian lawmakers live to make life difficult for everyone.
  I know it sucks, but the other alternative is just to have a civil wedding then a religious blessing afterwards. This shouldn't have to be the case, and in fact this is not the case in most other western countries but I guess you have to just adopt to the Italian system since they have no plans to change.
