Living in Limassol Single Lady

  • I have been in Limassol for 2 summers now on returning this year in May I was mugged and while I do not usually carry much money, I had been to the Bank to transfer some money from English accounts to Cyprus accounts I had my passport with me my English Bank cards my Cyprus bank cards my English mobile phone my Cyprus Mobile phone my camera and makeup some photos of my family and waterproof mac as well as usual bits and pieces. I have now been here six months although I have good skills and I am learning some Greek I have been doing 2 part-time jobs and not covering the cost of my one bedroom apartment. I have spent alot of my savings and may have to return to England which I really do not want to do. I was mugged at 5p.m. as I stepped from a bus at a busy time. It did make me nervous But I stayed because if I had returned to England that would have let them win. I have settled down now and made friends in the area I live. Although I have had nothing from my handbag back particularly my address book with all my friends numbers and addresses. The Police in Limassol were good to me I thank them for that.
