Pipeline route selection, to optimise costs of new pipelines.
Pipeline sizing and design to meet performance criteria.
Cost estimating for pipelines and facilities.
Ability to plan, prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines

Up to date knowledge and experience in on-sore and offshore pipeline design for oil and gas industry
All design engineering activities and experience in performing design tasks
Pipeline Materials Specification, MTOs and Requisitions
Proven track record of working within project teams
Liaison and co-ordination with other engineers and discipline groups on the contract to effect timely production of deliverables.
Technical writing activities, in particular, production of technical reports and procedures
Provide interpretation and verification of design and engineering
Relieve supervising engineer of minor details
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices
Required skills / Education/ Experience:

Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
At least 10 years pipeline design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry, offshore and onshore or related petrochemicals industry.
Sound experience in Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Engineering and Procurement of onshore pipelines and subsea pipelines system encompassing pipeline design engineering tasks.
Practical experience and comprehensive knowledge in onshore and offshore pipeline design. Perform calculations and prepare reports for pipeline design projects as directed by the Lead Engineer.
Sound experience in preparing requisitions and technical evaluation of bids for discipline material and equipment procurement. Ensure equipment vendors provide timely and quality input into design packages.
Experience for Industry standard codes and analysis softwares.
Proven track record of working within project teams.
Proven ability to work with a minimal supervision.
Ability and willingness to meet agreed deadlines.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness and ability to work as part of team.
Well developed report writing skills.
