You can extend your permit by one year

Hi! According to the new law, you can extend your residence permit for one year after you've finished your studies. Note that this is NOT a work permit, but it allows you to stay in Germany to search for a job after university. If you find a job, you (or your employer) will then have to apply for a work permit, which will be granted according to the normal procedure.
It's not a perfect solution, but at least it's easier to at least find a job while you're still in Germany... Good luck!!!Anonymous 27 nov 2004, 12:11 - Denunciar
