  • Spouse Visa

Hey I just read your posts I see 2 other people are in similar situations to me! Well sort of similar....I live in Italy with my Moroccan husband we have been married 2 years I met him in 2001 in Italy where he was living illegally....We got married here in 2006 and applied for a residence permit for him in 2006....we have been waiting since then...we just got a negative response...I had planned on moving back to Ireland and applying from Morocco for a visa to come a nd join me ! But I see Morocco hasn't got a Irish embassy....do I have to apply to the embassy in Portugal?

  • Spousal visa for my Moroccan husband

    Hello,

I there anyone out there at the moment married to a moroccan national having problems getting a visa. I married last august and find myself now in an awful situation that I cannot meet the requirements at the moment for the visa because I have lost my job and I cannot go to live in morocco because I have debts of over 5000 euro to pay. I have been told also that when you supply 6 months of bank statements for the application they must show that you have at least 3000 euro in your account to show that you can financially support your spouse. We are desparate to be together. I am back and forward every few weeks to see him. I had no idea it would be this difficult. Anyone going through the same thing? I have been to Citizens advice, I have no automatic entitlement to have my Non EU husband here. We are desparate to find out if there is another country that we can go to but it seems that everywhere are closing there doors and my husbands is extremely restricted in where he can travel to. I could not get work in Morocco and he has also lost his job.

Any help or advice is badly needed.

my email address is [email removed]

Hi I have read all ur messages and to be honest i know exactly how u all feel . I have a 13 yrs old daughter whos father came to visit her in january and was assessed for a family visa but was issued a holiday visa and when we enquiered in the justice offices in dublin he was told to return to his own country and apply for the appropriate visa to reside , and when u apply u are told u have not met the requirements and when u ask what the requierments are they tell u to look up on the web which do not give out all the details . I was told originally to apply under defacto and when i did i was told proof of our relationship was not warranted , i have a 13 yrs old child with this man what else do they want .
