  • The system is slow and complicated, and changes all the time. Take all the paperwork you can find. Insurance, pasport, birthcertificate (be sure to get it apostilized) and other papers that might proof you have been or will be in holland for some time. (contract from work, bank statements, letter from the landlord)
    If you're planning to stay (wether you want a pasport or not) to get into housingservices, permits, social security, you will alway have to show a "verblijsvergunning".
    Make an appointment at the ForeignPolice office.
    Be prepared to take off a day from work
