You are a fool Blood Diamond!

• Bllod Diamond, it is time you woke up and smelt Africa, its out there and it belongs to Africans. That means anyone who is willing to embrace it as their home and prepared to make it right. Now don't tell me that I only learnt the history that modified history.. I was white schooled during Apartheid and found the lies fed by the Afrikaner government intolerable when compared to the truth. Like the voortrekkers came to open spaces on the highveld, they did not, they kept records to this regard (records I have read when working through the archives and contributing to a new matric history textbook.) I have been an historian my whole life and I know that it is a post modern field, that means written by the influences of the time and the ultimate victor. But blood diamond, your apparent ignorance shocks me, there are not 20 million criminals in South Africa, the nature of the statistic is impossible to be measured because then they would have been caught, it is too greater an assumption to make with any conviction. You also criticise the xenophobic attacks a truly horrific and sad event, yet generalise Nigerians as drug dealers. It seems blood diamond that you are confused about who you really are, you lack identity and what little you have is very uncomfortable fit. You porfess such prejudice and unwillingness to accept the right of African people to control their own desgtiny in the own motherland but want us to leave... This is our continent, it belongs to those who want to make it work and not carve out some click of racist hate. Perhaps, you need to relfect on yourself adn realise that if you want to call this beautiful country your home then you must accept and I dare say embrace the way forward, if not you are just a freeloader that will never be accepted and never feel at home. I weep for people like you without a home... die vaderland is dood!!!
