A week in Paris

Enjoy the peaceful Parisian atmosphere during slow walks on the rivière. Admire the architecture or visit some museums in the city that is known for the Age of Enlightenment and was the first one to have public lights.

Would you like to go for some wine tasting, experience a cabaret show or just have a look at some inspiring fashion and shopping opportunities? Welcome to Paris!

During your first day in Paris it is always nice to just stroll around and get lost. The Montmartre area is perfect for those of you who like small streets and narrow alleyways. While enjoying the charm of the old streets, whenever you get tired just pick a small romantic café and have a rest with a warm cup of coffee.

After a lot of walking on the previous day, you may want to take it easy now. Dedicate this day to a long boat tour on the Seine River. Paris has plenty of boat tours to offer: a 'hop on – hop off' tour, half day tour and a long day tour, with a possibility to have some dinner on the boat as well. Then just relax and sit on the boat while passing all the monuments and historic buildings alongside the river.

Since it is already your 3rd day in Paris, it is time to go and check out some museums. The first thing to visit may be the legendary Louvre. The Louvre is one of Paris’ main attractions. Every year, thousands of visitors arrive there in order to see the amazing works of Rembrandt or Caravaggio. Even if you are not such an art lover, you will be amazed by the beauty of the Louvre itself and its green surroundings. The nearby Tuileries gardens are an ideal place to stroll around.

Let's have a look at some more architecture. Take your time today and go visit the most famous monuments in the city. Start the morning in the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Cathedral's towers make this monument not only a breathtaking piece of architecture, but also a dark and alluring monument to discover. Climb up the north tower for a quick glimpse at the faces of Notre Dame – the statues of the gargoyle. Finish this day by visiting the icon of Paris, the Eiffel Tower.

Start your weekend wine tasting! There are many places which offer wine tasting, the most known one is: O Chateau Paris Wine Tasting . Find out more about the kind of tastings and tours they offer. We would recommend you to take the whole day tour, which includes: pick-up service from your hotel, stop at the vineyards of Champagne, traditional French lunch, a visit to a Champagne house and a lovely drive back through the Marne Valley. During the entire tour you will be spoiled with good wine and champagne.

Paris is known to be a Mecca for all fashion lovers. There is always have enough to choose from all the styles! Visit the market Le Carrousel du Louvre for some cheaper deals and good gifts, as well. The Rue des Francs-Bourgeois is the street for designer clothes. In the Marais, the 4th arrondissement is full of cosy boutiques which sell lots of one of a kind treats.

An excellent way to finish this week is to go to see a colourful show – Moulin Rouge!
